Biofinity monthly aspheric silicone hydrogel contact lenses.

Made with our most advanced lens technology, Aquaform Comfort Science, Biofinity contact lenses bring together essential elements like oxygen and water. High oxygen performance helps keep eyes white and healthy while the naturally wettable lens material holds water within the lens making it soft, moist and resistant to dehydration and protein deposits without surface treatments or wetting agents.

Additionally, Biofinity contact lenses' aspheric front surface lens design provides enhanced vision. The lens focuses light better to a common local point giving greater image resolution and increased depth of focus for sharper vision. This unique combination of high oxygen, high water and soft lens material creates a truly exceptional silicone hydrogel lens.

Avaira is a third generation silicone hydrogel lens using the Aquaform technology. This technology consists of incorporating less WETTABLE silicone, since they succeeded in using a longer molecular chain that can bind to water, allowing a lens that is:
• Highly permeable to oxygen because of the silicone
• Soft on the eyes because it has less silicone and can bind to water
• Naturally wettable because it can bind to water

The lenses are made from a material containing 46% water and 54% enfilcon A, a silicone-containing hydrogel. The lenses have a tint (phthalocyanine blue) which is added to make the lens more visible for handling. The lenses also contain a UV absorbing monomer which is used to block UV radiation.

AVAIRA SPHERE contact lenses parameters:
• Diameter: 13.5 mm to 15.0 mm
• Base Curve: 8.2 mm to 9.2 mm
• Center Thickness: 0.08 mm to 0.60 mm (varies with power)
• Powers: -20.00 D to +20.00D

The physical/optical properties of the lens are:
• Refractive Index: 1.40
• Light Transmittance: >97%
• Surface Character: Hydrophilic
• Water Content: 46%
• Specific Gravity: 1.06
• Contact angle 37 deg
• Oxygen Permeability: 100 x 10-11 (cm2/sec) (ml 02/ml x mmHg) 35°C
(Polarographic method)

Proclear 1 day
Proclear 1 day contact lenses also have the added benefit of exceptional all-day comfort. Our PC Technology™ creates a lens material that contains molecules found naturally in human cell membranes. These molecules attract and surround themselves with water, keeping your disposable contact lenses moist and comfortable, even after 12 hours of wear.

Proclear contact lenses from CooperVision are soft (hydrogel) contact lenses made with patented phosphorylcholine (PC) technology. Phosphorylcholine (PC) is found in the moist regions of the eye and has affinity to water. All Proclear contact lenses are made from Omafilcon A incorporating phosphorylcholine, making them biocompatible. All Proclear contact lenses help retain moisture and prevent the eyes from getting dehydrated. Further, they contain a layer of water which discourages protein and lipid deposition on the lens. Lens Material: Omafilcon A (38%)

Description:
Chord diameter: 13.0mm to 15.5 mm
Base Curve: 8.0mm to 9.50mm
Powers: -20.00D to +20.00D
Refractive Index 1.40
Water content: 60% ±2%

Proclear EP
This brand was formerly called Biomedics EP. These are contact lenses specially designed for emerging presbyopes (those starting to get presbyopia). These are 1-2 Week Disposable contact lenses. The lens is easy to fit for patients with up to +1.25 ADD.. Lens Material: Omafilcon A (40%).
• Chord diameter: 14.4m
• Base Curve: 8.70mm
• Powers: +6.00D to -8.00D in 0.50D steps after -6.50D
• Water content: 60%

Proclear Multifocal
This is the only contact lens designed to address both presbyopia and dryness of the eyes which comes naturally with aging. Proclear Multifocal lenses feature two different, yet complementary lenses that work together to provide near, far, and in between vision with the clearest possible image. The two-lens system means that your eye care professional (ECP) will have specified one eye as "Dominant" (D), and the non-dominant eye is marked with an "N" on your contact lens prescription. Proclear Multifocal lenses are also made incorporating phosphorylcholine (PC). Lens Material: Omafilcon A.

Only Proclear Multifocal contact lenses combine a superior lens design, Balanced Progressive™ Technology, with a unique lens material made using our patented PC Technology™. The result is a lens that gives you great vision at every distance while staying moist and comfortable, all day long.
