The Tono-Pen XL is a precision diagnostic instrument for measuring the intraocular pressure; it is portable, battery operated, easy to use and hand-held.
 
It works by simple touch and can be used in hospitals; clinics and eye care centers to have a fast and accurate reading of the intra ocular pressure. It can be used either by the doctors or their assistant technicians.
 
The Tono-Pen XL is based on an incorporated electronic solid-state transducer with a 1.5 mm contact area, assisted by a sophisticated microprocessor which records and analyses single or multiple touches of the anesthetized cornea and then displays the average of four reading of the intra ocular pressure on a digital display with a statistical reliability. This reliability is as 5%, 10%, 20% or >20% to high light the precision of the measurement.
