Our Team
MEDICALS INTERNATIONAL WAS FOUNDED BY WALID BARAKE IN 1994, AND STARTED OFF AS A LIMITED PARTNERSHIP IN BEIRUT, LEBANON.

The years that followed saw the evolution of an emerging company into a regional organization with the opening of offices in major business hubs of the MENA region, Cyprus, Türkiye and Greece.

To ensure the smooth operation of all regional units, Medicals International SAL (Offshore) was established in 2001 in Beirut, Lebanon and oversees the operations and logistics of all 19 offices catering to 17 regional markets.

1994
A partnership is established between Walid Barake and Ocular Sciences - CooperVision today- in Beirut, Lebanon. This lays the cornerstone of what would become Medicals International S.A.R.L., our office in Lebanon.
1997
Medicals International LLC starts its operations in Dubai, UAE.
1999
Medicals International starts its operations in Egypt.
2002
An office is established in Jeddah KSA.
2003
Medicals International starts its operations in Jordan.
2005
Medicals International WLL starts its operations in Kuwait.
2006
Medicals International LLC starts its operations in Qatar.
2007

An office is established in Oman.

 

Medicals International S.A.R.L. gets ISO-certified (ISO9001:2008).

2008
An additional office starts its operations in the KSA in a new location, Riyadh.
2010
Medicals International completes its coverage of the KSA with a third office opening in Khobar.
2012
Medicals International is established in Iraq.
2013
An additional office is opened in Dubai, UAE.
2014
Medicals International Ltd. starts its operations in Cyprus.

Medicals International adds an office in Alexandria, Egypt.

Medicals International starts its operations in Bahrain.

2017
Medicals International opens an office in Casablanca, Morocco.
2018
Medicals International opens an office in Istanbul, Türkiye.
